Open Full Time Position: Deputy Director for Institutional Advancement
Miami Art Museum (www.miamiartmuseum.org), the leading museum of modern and contemporary art in the Southeastern U.S., seeks a dynamic development professional to lead its development, marketing, public relations, facilties and visitor services departments. Scheduled to break ground in December 2010 on its new Museum Park building, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Herzog and de Meuron for the Biscayne Bay waterfront in downtown Miami, MAM is poised to grow its exhibition and education programs substantially and to broaden its national and international profiles in the next five years.

To support this growth, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of strong leadership in all areas of fundraising with particular expertise in capital campaign management. S/he will also have a demonstrated ability to maximize synergy among development, marketing and public relations activities. As a member of the senior management team, s/he must be an excellent team player and communicator with vision and strong strategic planning skills.

A B.A., at least five years senior development experience and a deep knowledge of prospect research protocols and technologies is required; experience in a visual arts or other cultural institution, a graduate degree in a relevant field and Spanish language skills are preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience.
